The international research conference Multilingual Childhoods: Education, policy and practice will be held on 15-16 May 2019, at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences in Hamar, Norway. The website explains the theme of the conference:
"The conference topic “Multilingual childhoods: education, policy and practice”. is set up with the intention to make connections between research, educational policies and practices involving the learning of two or more languages in the home, school or community by children from birth to the age of 6 years old. This includes aspects of L1 and L2 language development in contexts of awareness of languages, additional languages, foreign languages, second languages, bilingual education, and immersion. Additional topics may relate to the role of parents, teacher education and training and policy in early multilingualism."
